In addition, we are planning to make a video of interviews with a number of Singaporeans about their thoughts on National Day, recollections of past National Days, and on Singapore in general. These interviews will be recorded at the Ibis Hotel, who have kindly granted us facilities for this exercise. The dates and times are as follows:

Thursday, 23rd July from 7 pm (19.00)

Saturday, 25th July from 2 pm (14.00)

Meeting place will be at the George and Dragon Pub (the hotel bar) on the 1st floor. There will be a small reception at the bar for members during which time people who would like to be interviewed will proceed to the Interview Room on an individual basis. If you are interested in taking part, please email Conrad Chua, the SUKA President, at president@suka.org, with your full name, contact details (telephone and email address) and date you will be turning up. Obviously if the response is overwhelming, we shall have to make a selection from the names submitted. Preference will be given to Singaporean nationals as National Day is of special significance to them, but please note that the offer to record your thoughts and memories is open to non-members as well. Please note that SUKA members are welcomed to attend the reception on either date even if you are not being interviewed, if you wish to come and meet members of the current ExCo.

If the recording goes well, we plan to show the resulting video montage during the National Day dinner.
