SG60 Roundup: A Fantastic Year of Events so far
It has been a truly special year of celebrations as we mark Singapore’s 60th birthday. From cultural festivities to musical outings, networking nights to community lunches, 2025 has been filled with warmth, connection, and unforgettable SUKA spirit. Here’s a look back at the fantastic events we’ve enjoyed so far, and a sneak peek at what’s still to come!

Chinese New Year Dinner – 11 February (Royal China, Baker Street)
We ushered in the Year of the Snake with a vibrant 10-course banquet at Royal China, complete with an energetic lion dance, an exciting Chinese face-changing performance, and our ever-popular raffle draw. It was a joyful start to our SG60 celebrations.
The Devil Wears Prada – 10 March (Tickets Sold Out)
Members quickly snapped up our limited discounted tickets to The Devil Wears Prada musical at the Dominion Theatre. With Elton John’s original score and dazzling choreography, it was a night of glamour and high-energy entertainment.
SUKA–NUS–NTU Joint Networking Drinks – 17 March
SUKA members joined NUS and NTU Alumni for a lively networking evening at Singapulah London. With Singapore-inspired canapés and a welcome drink, it was a warm and engaging night that strengthened bonds across our wider Singaporean community.
Hari Raya Lunch – 5 April, 12.30pm
We celebrated the end of Ramadan with a warm and festive afternoon at Bali Satay House. Guests enjoyed an elaborate halal menu, lively entertainment, best-dressed prizes and a raffle draw featuring a return SQ ticket to Singapore.
Easter Afternoon Tea – 26 April (Shangri-La, The Shard)
Members gathered for a luxurious Easter afternoon tea at the Shangri-La, indulging in an elegant selection of sweet and savoury treats with breathtaking views over London. A refined and festive celebration enjoyed by all.
Joint Networking Drinks – 30 May (Pan Pacific Hotel, Ginger Lily Bar & Lounge)
We kicked off the SG60 season with a vibrant evening of drinks and canapés at the Pan Pacific London, alongside NUS Alumni, NTU Alumni, UKSSC, SYNC, and the Singapore Business Group. A memorable gathering that brought the community together in style.
My Neighbour Totoro – 19 June (Tickets Sold Out)
Our group-booking tickets to the enchanting stage adaptation of My Neighbour Totoro were snapped up immediately. Members enjoyed a magical evening at the Gillian Lynne Theatre, filled with imagination and heartwarming storytelling.
SG60 National Day Lunch – 2 August (Pan Pacific Hotel, Pacific Ballroom)
We celebrated Singapore’s 60th birthday with a lively, sold-out National Day lunch. A sumptuous buffet, thrilling quiz, best-dressed prizes, performances and a return SQ ticket raffle made it one of the biggest highlights of the year.
SG60 Edinburgh Gatherings – 12 October (UoE Playfair Library)
Our Edinburgh community enjoyed a warm SG60 weekend of drinks, dinner, and dim sum—creating opportunities for Singaporeans and friends in Scotland to connect and celebrate together.
SG60 Deepavali Lunch – 25 October (Namaste Lounge, Northwood)
We celebrated Deepavali with a vibrant afternoon of music, henna art, a delicious buffet, a themed quiz, best-dressed prizes, and our much-loved SQ ticket raffle. A colourful celebration of light, food, and friendship.
SG60 Fiesta – 15 November (Millennium Gloucester, Royal Ballroom)
Our SG60 Fiesta brought together Singaporeans and friends from across the UK for a lively day of food stalls, performances, crafts, and community spirit. A joyful gathering and one of the most anticipated events of the SG60 calendar.
SG60 Christmas Lunch – 6 December (Preview)
Our final celebration of the year is coming up soon! Join us for a festive afternoon at the Pacific Ballroom filled with a Christmas buffet, holiday quiz, live music, best-dressed prizes, and our exciting raffle for a return trip to Singapore.
